Canon PowerShot V1 announced: 22.3MP 1.4-inch CMOS sensor + cooling system
The Canon PowerShot V1

The new Vlogging camera challenger

Its main spotlight is the 1.4-inch size CMOS sensor making it the largest sensor for the PowerShot series. This should provide clearer details, improved lowlight performance, and richer colors than traditional 1-inch cameras.

With the DIGIC X processor, the PowerShot V1 achieves a maximum resolution of 22.3MP resolution and an ISO range of up to 32,000 for stills and 25,600 for video.

Its integrated 16-50mm f/2.8-4.5 zoom lens provides a broad field of view, making it versatile for handheld photography and confined inside environments.

Another highlight is the built-in active cooling system inside the PowerShot V1 this is crucial for Vloggers on the go who don't like their cameras overheat when shooting content.

This allows it to capture uncropped 5.7K oversampled 4K at 30fps and full 4K60 (1.4x crop) with minimal heat problems. The addition of 10-bit Canon Log 3 provides increased dynamic range and color grading options in post-production.

Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS AF II provides fast, accurate autofocus with subject identification for persons, dogs, and even moving objects. It also has subject-tracking picture stabilization, which smoothes handheld shots in real-time. If you're filming high-action video, the PowerShot V1 has a 30fps burst mode with an electronic shutter.

For connectivity, it has WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless, and for wired it has USB-C and HMDI ports for quick file transfer and use the device as a webcam without relying on adapters.

It also has a discrete photo/video toggle switch, which keeps separate settings for each mode. The camera includes a multifunction hot shoe, a three-stop ND filter, and microphone and headphone connectors for professional audio.
