MWC 2025: Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro WiFi launched, Dual-amplifier coaxial triple drivers, 2.1 Mbps True Lossless Audio, Smart Noise Cancellation

Alongside new smartphones and tablets, Xiaomi also introduced the new Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro series equipped with Smart Noise Cancelling and 50ms low latency.

Xiaomi boasts the Buds 5 Pro's comfortable and Premium design with a Gilded logo, delicate yet elegant stem and understated colorways of Ceramic White or Titan Gray.

At the heart of the Earbuds are the Dual-amplifier coaxial triple drivers which are made up of a dual-amplifier, an 11mm dual-magnet driver, a planar driver and a ceramic tweeter that is capable of a 15-50kHz frequency range. The WiFi variant is capable of transmitting up to 2.1Mbps. This means it offers true 48kHz or 24-bit lossless audio.

It uses Bluetooth Low Energy that has a low latency of only 50ms. The Buds 5 Pro's Smart Noise Cancelling is also capable of reducing noise by up to 55 dB. With its 5kHz bandwidth, it is also able to reduce noises from the majority of scenarios.

Around the earbuds are 3 microphones that work with AI noise cancellation that can reduce noise during calls. It is advertised to reduce up to 15m/s of wind noise.

Unique to the Buds 5 Pro is built-in Audio recording on the charging case. It can record up to 4 hours of audio and is activated by triple-clicking the button on the case. The feature requires the case to have a minimum of 10 percent battery. 

The earphones can work alongside the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's AI translation and transcription feature on demand.

Xiaomi is boasting that the Buds 5 Pro is rated for up to 40 hours of playback. The case supports Qi wireless charging and a 10-minute charge of the earphone can power it for 4.5 hours. The vanilla variant has a 53mAh battery while the WiFi variant comes with a 64mAh battery each earbud. Both variants has 570mAh battery on the charging case.

Each earbud is IP54 dust and water resistance rated.

The earbuds are expected to arrive in Europe soon. There is no word yet on Philippine pricing and availability.
