HUAWEI MateBook Pro launched: 14.2-inch 3.1K OLED and HarmonyOS 5

Apart from the MateBook Fold Ultimate, HUAWEI also released the MateBook Pro powered by HarmonyOS 5.

A non-Windows laptop from HUAWEI

The new notebook has an ultra-thin and lightweight design. It measures 13.5mm in thickness and weighs 970 grams, making it lighter than Apple’s MacBook Air. 

The chassis is constructed from micro-velvet textured aluminum, combining durability with a premium finish. The laptop incorporates foam copper VC cooling technology to enhance thermal management, supporting a performance output of up to 40W.

Spacious display

The new MateBook Pro is equipped with a 14.2-inch OLED display featuring a 3.1K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. It also has a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio and 99 percent glare reduction, achieved through nano-etching and nano-magnetic coatings. 

Powering the device is a 70WHr battery, with the brand claiming up to 10.2 hours of battery life. The laptop supports 140W fast charging and offers 66W reverse charging capability for other devices.

Inside, the MateBook Pro is powered by an unspecified high-performance processor, paired with 24GB or 32GB RAM and 512GB/1TB/2TB NVMe PCIe SSD.

 

For audio, the laptop includes a six-speaker Yuezhang system designed to deliver immersive sound quality.

Connectivity features are WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2. The ports are 1x USB-C on the right side and 2x USB-C on the left side.

It runs on HarmonyOS 5, which integrates AI-powered tools such as the Xiaoyi AI assistant for document summaries and voice or text commands. The operating system also enables seamless connectivity across HUAWEI's HarmonyOS ecosystem, allowing for multi-platform synchronization.

The pre-orders have already started in China, while the sale begins on June 6. No word yet on PH availability as of the moment.
