A new budget phone with a big battery capacity and superb durability is coming

According to the company, the nova Y73 is built to last thanks to its ultra-tough build and long-lasting battery life. Based on the teaser image we received from their PR team, the device is packed with a massive 6,620mAh high-density silicon-carbon battery. The rendered graphics also showed that the phone will come with two cameras.

A quick Google search revealed that the full specs and details of the nova Y73, featuring the same battery capacity, are now available on HUAWEI's global website.

The device arrives in a slim-looking body with a Dynamic Plaid Texture Design and Double Star Orbit Rings for the cameras available in Blue and Black colorways. This phone has received the five-star drop-resistance certification from SGS up to 1.8 meters and comes with an IP64 dust and water resistance rating to ensure that it handles rain, splashes, and dust.

In front, it uses a 6.67-inch eye comfort display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and wet touch support. Why eye comfort? It has the SGS Low Visual Fatigue A+ Premium Performance Certification.

It also has 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB internal storage. The 6,620mAh battery can last up to 1.2 days of online video playback or up to 2.6 days of online music playback.

The company also claims that its battery can perform reliably even when the temperature drops to -20 degrees Celsius. For charging, it supports 40W USB-C SuperCharge Turbo, which can do up to 5 hours of video playback after 10 minutes of charging. It also comes with battery management, ensuring that its battery stays healthier longer.

For cameras, the device is equipped with a 50MP f/2.0 primary camera at the back and an 8MP selfie shooter.

The device also has the X button that displays frequently-used apps with a tap or acts as a shortcut key to favorite apps with a long press. You can even use it for quick calling and open widgets like Flashlight, Calculator, and Camera.

It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 2.4GHz WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, dual SIM slots, and runs on EMUI 12 skin out of the box.

There is no info about the processor they used with this phone, and its official local pricing is yet to be announced.
