A Xiaomi executive briefly teased the design and major details of its upcoming tablet with a flagship SoC.

Apparently, this device is set to take on the likes of iPad Mini and some mini gaming tablets from Lenovo and REDMAGIC.

The REDMI K Pad will feature an 8.8-inch LCD panel with 3K resolution at 403 ppi and has a 165Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.

Inside, the upcoming tablet will sport the current MediaTek flagship SoC, which is the Dimensity 9400+ with 3.73GHz max boost clock and Immortalis G925 GPU MP12.

It will also be cooled using the large-scale aluminum alloy liquid cooling system with a measurement of 12,050 mm2. REDMI stated that this will provide 75 percent improvement in terms of heat dissipation compared to the previous iterations.

Moreover, the K Pad features a 5:5 weight distribution designed to improve comfort during extended use, whether for gaming, content creation, or productivity tasks. This balanced design may benefit users who need a device capable of handling both work and entertainment without leading to fatigue.

Finally, the price and availability haven't been revealed yet, but reports suggest we don't have to wait for long as the tablet may be officially launched alongside the Redmi K80 Ultra later this month.
