ASUS Philippines confirms the arrival of the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X this October 16, 2025. Pre-orders have begun and will come with freebies.

An unexpected collaboration
ASUS Philippines has teased the arrival of the successor to its popular gaming handheld, the original ROG Ally X from last year. Because it was made in collaboration with Microsoft Xbox, the new devices now come with contoured grips inspired by the Xbox wireless controllers. The new handhelds also come with the Xbox controller buttons and layout.
It will come in two flavors. Both models come with a 7-inch FHD IPS screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 16:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and a DXC Anti-Reflection coating. Alongside are WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 65W charger stand.

The ROG Xbox Ally comes with an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB LPDDR5 6400 RAM, 512GB M.2 2280 SSD, a 60Wh battery, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with Display Port 1.4 and power delivery 3.0, 1 UHS-II microSD card reader, and 1 3.5mm Combo audio jack. It measures 290.8 x 121.5 x 50.7mm and weighs 670 grams.

While the ROG Xbox Ally X comes with an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB LPDDR5X 8000 RAM, 1TB M.2 2280 SSD, an 80Wh battery, 1 USB4 Type-C with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery 3.0, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery 3.0, 1 UHS-II microSD card reader, and a 1 3.5mm Combo audio jack. ASUS has also added the Impose triggers to the Ally X. It measures 290.8 x 121.5 x 50.7mm and weighs 715 grams.
Both are running on Windows 11 with the ROG Armory Crate SE with an integrated Xbox Game Bar.

Included with each purchase of the handheld are an Xbox Game Pass subscription and a 2-year international warranty. There was no mention of the length of time the subscription comes with.
ASUS Philippines says that both variants will be available in authorized stores nationwide on October 16, 2025. The first 100 eligible entries will get a FREE ROG Xbox Ally 2-in-1 Premium Case worth Php 2,995.
