Proper handhelds for Xbox enthusiasts
To recap, the handheld is made in collaboration between ROG and Xbox, making it the successor to the ROG Ally X released in 2024.
It comprises two models, namely the ROG Xbox Ally as the more affordable variant and the ROG Xbox Ally X with added power and features.

Their design became like a fusion of the previous generation and the traditional Xbox gamepad handle, thanks to the contoured grips, which are made to enhance ergonomics.
The Xbox Ally measures 290.8 x 121.5 x 50.7mm and weighs 670 grams. On the other hand, the Xbox Ally X has similar measurements but weighs slightly heavier at 715 grams.
Both feature a 7-inch FHD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 16:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and a DXC Anti-Reflection coating.
The standard ROG Xbox Ally is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB of LPDDR5 6400 RAM, and a 512GB M.2 2280 SSD.

Its power system includes a 60Wh battery. For connectivity, it offers two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0, one UHS-II microSD card reader, and one 3.5mm combo audio jack.
The higher-tier ROG Xbox Ally X model features an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB of LPDDR5X 8000 RAM, and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD.
It is powered by a larger 80Wh battery. Its connectivity suite includes one USB4 Type-C port with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery 3.0, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery 3.0, a UHS-II microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.
Both devices include a 65W charger stand and are equipped with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
They run on the Windows 11 operating system, which is integrated with the ROG Armory Crate SE and an Xbox Game Bar.
