Efforts to strengthen the PH economy
The partnership is intended to support both firms' digitalization programs for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by providing improved access to reliable connectivity, digital onboarding assistance, and capacity-building.
This collaboration also supports Converge and DTI's initiatives for startup communities and entrepreneurs exploring e-commerce automation, cloud solutions, and AI tools.
With MSMEs making up 99.6 percent of all businesses in the Philippines, the collaboration aims to address challenges in adopting digital solutions to improve their competitiveness.
Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza Bautista, Supervising Head of the DTI-Competitiveness and Innovation Group, mentioned the role of reinforcing MSME access to digital tools:
Our goal is to push for MSMEs to embrace technology and digitalization, and we believe that this partnership with Converge strengthens our push. Through this initiative, we can give our entrepreneurs not just access to tools but a fair chance to compete and succeed in the global market.
The DTI believes that digitalization of our MSMEs is no longer optional but absolutely essential in today’s highly digital business environment.
As part of the MOU, Converge will supply connectivity packages and digital solutions to MSMEs in DTI-led digitalization programs.

These initiatives focus on helping startups and traditional enterprises implement digital tools, AI-supported platforms, and other emerging technologies.
Every business relies not only on effective and efficient connectivity but also on easy-to-use and practical digital solutions. We are honored to support the DTI in ensuring that MSMEs—wherever they are—gain access to the technology and assistance they need to grow sustainably, said Dindo Marzan, Converge Senior VP for SME Group
The collaboration supports the DTI's broader objectives of building a competitive and inclusive digital ecosystem, with the aim of assisting both traditional MSMEs and startups in their digital adoption.
