The collaboration will use OPPO's smartphone technologies to showcase scenic destinations in the Philippines.

The initiative, titled "OPPO Loves The Philippines," is described as a shared effort to promote the country through visual storytelling that uses AI technology.

A stated objective is to highlight diverse and less-explored destinations, including freshwater and underwater attractions, through imagery and user-generated content on digital platforms.

The partnership involves skill-building initiatives for the DOT network, leveraging OPPO's creator community and content production expertise. The aim is to equip tourism teams to promote tourism through digital channels.

The ceremonial signing between the Department of Tourism and OPPO honors and symbolizes our united commitment to pursue tourism advocacies that ultimately contribute to nation-building. This partnership is anchored on the DOT’s advocacies of sustainability, responsible tourism, inclusiveness in our tourism promotion and development, and effective communications, said Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco.

As part of the agreement, OPPO will provide advanced technologies to the DOT’s Tourist Rest Areas. The plan is to use OPPO’s IoT solutions at Tourism Information Desks for real-time updates and to integrate mobility innovations into Hop-On Hop-Off Tours.
