Infinix NOTE Edge launched: Dimensity 7100, 50MP 1/2-inch camera, and 6,500mAh battery

After the teaser, the Infinix NOTE Edge is now officially launched, featuring a chic and slim design coupled with a big battery.

Elegance meets power?

It features a design that is 7.2mm thick and weighs 185 grams, available in Lunar Titanium, Silk Green, Stellar Blue, and Shadow Black color options. 

According to the company, the Silk Green model incorporates a polyurethane water-wave brushed texture inspired by silk, creating a leather-like surface. The other finishes utilize composite materials with optical effects to produce layered matte surfaces that shift with light.

Furthermore, it has an IP65 dust and water resistance rating for extra protection against rain splashes and minimal dips.

The features

The device is equipped with a 6.78-inch curved display featuring a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 2,800Hz touch sampling rate. It boasts symmetrical 1.87mm bezels, a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

Powering the phone is 2.4GHz 6nm MediaTek's Dimensity 7100 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It is backed by a large battery, either 6,500 mAh or 6,150 mAh, depending on the market, and supports USB-C 45W wired charging. 

The company also claims the battery will retain at least 80 percent of its initial capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, equating to roughly six years of use.

The cameras

The rear camera system is centered on a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor with a 1/2-inch sensor size + LED flash. For selfies, it has a 13MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.

Other features include a customizable side button for instant activation of the Folax AI assistant and JBL stereo speakers.

Connectivity features are WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G SA/NSA, 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For software, the device runs XOS 16 based on Android 16, a first for Infinix. The company pledges three major Android updates and five years of security patches for the Note Edge.

It is now rolling out in different countries globally. Unfortunately, there's no word yet for the PH release.
