Beastly gaming line-up for CES 2026

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) presented its latest gaming hardware during a virtual event at CES 2026. The presentation coincided with the brand's 20-year anniversary and featured new laptops, desktops, motherboards, and peripherals.

The event highlighted what the company described as a continued focus on performance-oriented engineering and community engagement. A company statement referenced its product history, from a 2006 motherboard to current systems, as part of a long-term development philosophy.

New gaming laptop models

The presentation focused on updates to the ROG Zephyrus line of portable gaming laptops. The updated ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 models feature 14 or 16-inch displays with up to 3K resolution and 120Hz or 240Hz refresh rates.

They also feature the new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with integrated NPUs for local AI tasks.

These are also configurable with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 or 5090 Laptop GPUs based on the Blackwell architecture.

A variant of the G14 will also offer a next-generation AMD Ryzen AI processor. Both feature new displays rated for 1100-nit peak brightness and HDR, alongside design updates and improved thermal systems.

Collaboration with Kojima Productions

ROG also announced a collaborative product line developed with Kojima Productions, the studio founded by game designer Hideo Kojima. The centerpiece is the ROG Flow Z13-KJP, a 2-in-1 detachable device powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with Radeon 8060S graphics. Its design is inspired by the studio's mascot, Ludens, with artwork by Yoji Shinkawa.

The collaboration extends to several peripherals, including the ROG Delta II-KJP wireless headset, the ROG Keris II Origin-KJP mouse, and the ROG Scabbard II XXL-KJP mouse pad featuring a Ludens motif.

Desktop product

The brand also introduced the ROG G1000, a high-performance gaming desktop featuring what the company calls the world's first built-in holographic fan system in a prebuilt PC. The centerpiece "AniMe Holo" fan projects customizable holographic visuals and is housed in an isolated chamber to prevent interference with the main system's airflow and acoustics.

The desktop is built in a 104-liter ATX tower chassis designed for enhanced cooling and maintenance. Its thermal system, dubbed the "ROG Thermal Atrium," uses a dedicated 420mm AIO liquid cooler for the CPU.

Hardware configurations include options for high-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090/5080 or AMD Radeon 9070XT GPUs, up to 128GB of DDR5 memory, and up to a 4TB PCIe 5.0 SSD. Customization of lighting and the holographic fan is managed through the Armoury Crate software.

Motherboards and Cooling Solutions

The event also highlighted new motherboards and cooling components.

ASUS showcased the ROG Crosshair X870E Glacial motherboard, which received a CES 2026 Innovation Award, and is designed for high-performance systems.

It features 24+2+2 power stages, support for seven M.2 slots (including dual PCIe 5.0), dual USB4 ports, and dual 10-gigabit Ethernet. It incorporates several AI-driven features for performance optimization and system monitoring via a 5-inch LCD.

For cooling, ROG announced the ROG Strix SLC/LC IV series of AIO coolers, which feature a simplified "AIO Q-Connector" to reduce cable clutter, and the ROG Ryuo IV 360 ARGB, which includes a movable 6.67-inch AMOLED display on the pump head for showing system information or custom visuals.
New monitors

OLED Monitors and AR Glasses

ROG presented new additions to its OLED monitor lineup, emphasizing its position as a leading vendor in the category.

The ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM is a 26.5-inch monitor featuring a new "Tandem RGB Stripe" OLED panel. It offers a dual-mode function, allowing users to switch between 4K resolution at 240Hz or 1080p at 480Hz.

The ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN is a 34-inch ultrawide QD-OLED curved monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate. It incorporates a "ROG BlackShield" film, which the company states improves scratch resistance and perceived black levels.

In a move into spatial computing, ROG announced a partnership with XREAL to produce the ROG XREAL R1 Gaming Glasses. These AR glasses feature micro-OLED displays with a 240Hz refresh rate and a virtual screen equivalent to 171 inches. They connect to PCs, consoles, and ROG's Ally handheld via a dedicated control dock and feature electrochromic lenses and audio technology from Bose.
