TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G announced: 8,000mAh battery at 7.42mm slim, 144Hz Curved AMOLED

TECNO Mobile just launched the POVA Curve 2 5G, bringing an updated design and a massive upgrade in battery.

Coming from the first-gen POVA Curve 5G with a 5,500mAh battery, the POVA Curve 2 5G is now equipped with a MASSIVE 8,000mAh silicon carbon battery.

TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G Storm Titanium

According to TECNO, this handset has 3 days of DOU (Days of Use) and can do up to 18.8 hours of gaming. This has up to 45W fast charging via Type-C and even has safe fast charging even in cold or hot weather.

For gamers, it supports the Bypass Charge 2.0 tech. TECNO claims that it can charge the phone from 0 to 50 percent in just 36 minutes.

What made this even more interesting is that the company was able to fit that large battery capacity in an even slimmer frame. In fact, TECNO claims that it is the world's slimmest 8,000mAh battery capacity at 7.42mm thin and weighs just 195 grams.

It also has a futuristic Interstellar Spaceship Design available in Mystic Purple, Melting Silver, and Storm Titanium colors, IP64 dust and water resistance, Gorilla Glass 7i display protection, and SGS drop certification.

The display is a 6.78-inch Eye Care AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2304Hz PWM dimming, FHD+ 2364 x 1080 resolution at 383 ppi, 4,500 nits peak brightness, In-Display fingerprint sensor with a 13MP selfie camera.

Inside, the processor is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor, a lighter version of the Dimensity 7300 from last year. It is paired with 8GB to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

The handset also claims that it has an upgraded antenna matrix system for improved signal in public transport and remote places, for 33% better network latency, and 70% improvement in upload speed. Supporting this is the G1 Signal Enhanced Chipset + SE1 WiFi Enhanced Chipset.

For cameras, it has the 50MP main shooter paired with a 2MP helper. This even has the AI-assisted FlashSnap tech for capturing fast-moving subjects.

Other features include TECNO AI (AI Eraser 2.0, AI Image Extender, AI Sharpness Plus, AI Full-Link Call Assistant, AI Writing, with Hey Ella assistant, and Circle to Search by Google.
