Among the most exciting for us are the new AI advancements of Grab.
Grab AI Assistant
For consumers, the company introduced "Grab AI Assistant."
According to Grab, this service is powered by leading AI models and Grab's deep understanding of user habits. This is designed to lighten your daily load and help you get things done effortlessly.
For example, if the user is planning a team celebration, the user simply need hare your group size, preferences, and dietary needs, and Grab AI Assistant will recommend restaurants and even handle the booking—all in a single conversation.
If the user is stocking up for the week, they can use the Grab Shopping Agent. It works by simply sending a photo, voice note, or typed list, and it will build a ready-to-checkout cart across multiple merchants, complete with smart substitutions.
This eliminates the tedious item-by-item search.
Driver AI Assistant
For Grab driver-partners, the Driver AI Assistant will serve as an "always-available" smart companion that guides them on how to drive more efficiently and earn more.
Drivers can simply ask it for guidance on Grab's policies or help with everyday tasks, like messaging passengers. Grab said that its AI matches the hustle of our driver-partners, so they can keep their eyes on the road.
GrabX 2026 celebrated Grab's Early Access Programme, hitting 200,000 users and driving 4,000 product improvements. Grab also launched "shake and share," letting users send instant feedback by shaking their phone. Those interested may sign up at the
GrabX site.
Rollouts depend on approvals, licensing, and partner readiness. Names, features, fees, and timelines vary by country.
