According to Grab, the initiative includes commission rebates via Grab Turbo, expanded incentives, spot bonuses, and transparency tools like the Digital Earnings Tracker.
Delivery riders have already received over PHP 50M in bonuses, plus subsidies for bike-based deliveries and rewards such as grocery credits and medical vouchers.
Meanwhile, partnerships with fuel companies have secured discounts and rebates.
Grab and MOVE IT partners have already saved over PHP 2M in fuel through Seaoil discounts, while Shell Fleet Cards via Grab Financial Group delivered another PHP 1M in rebates in March alone.
The company said that similar arrangements were facilitated for MOVE IT to benefit its own rider-partners.
On the other hand, the longer-term Eco-Drive Initiative, which is backed by banks and automakers, aims to fast-track access to EVs and hybrids through preferential loans and flexible repayment schemes.
Grab Philippines Managing Director Ronald Roda shares,
When fuel prices rise, livelihoods are the first to feel it, and platforms like ours carry a responsibility to respond with the scale and speed that the moment requires. The PHP 350 million we have mobilized is resilience, designed to keep our driver- and delivery-partners on the road and their families steady through the crisis. This is what a platform is for, and it is the role Grab intends to keep playing as the country navigates the fuel crisis.
Grab claims that the program is designed to safeguard livelihoods and strengthen resilience amid the fuel crisis overall.
