After its global launch in February, the HUAWEI Watch GT Runner 2 is now official in the Philippines.

Huawei has introduced the Watch GT Runner 2, a sports-focused smartwatch developed in collaboration with marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge and the DSM-Firmenich Running Team. 

The Watch GT Runner 2 is constructed with an aerospace-grade titanium casing, measuring 43.5mm in diameter and 10.7mm thick, while weighing just 43.5 grams. 

The display

The display uses a 1.32-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. But what sets it apart is its 2nd-gen Kunlun Glass, HUAWEI's proprietary reinforced cover glass known for its scratch and impact resistance. 

HUAWEI claims that it is 20x stronger than regular glass, and if combined with the ultra-light titanium build, users will have to worry less about rigorous tracks or trails.

The watch also carries a water resistance rating of up to 40 meters and is offered in three colorways: Dawn Orange, Dusk Blue, and Midnight Black.

Pro-Level Coaching and Race Intelligence

A centerpiece of the new model is its Intelligent Marathon Mode, which delivers real-time running guidance including dynamic pace recommendations, running power measurement, and refuel reminders. The Watch GT Runner 2 is also the first HUAWEI wearable to incorporate a real-time lactate threshold detection algorithm — a metric commonly used by professional athletes to monitor fatigue buildup and optimize training intensity.

Health tracking and connectivity

The watch integrates the HUAWEI TruSense sensor suite, tracking heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, ECG, respiratory rate, sleep, and stress levels. 

Advanced health tracker

A new 3D floating antenna with an optimized gasket design reportedly delivers 3.5 times better antenna performance compared to its predecessor, with improved GPS accuracy in challenging environments such as tunnels and shaded areas. 

Additionally, the device supports dual-band satellite positioning and independent navigation, enabling workout tracking without a paired smartphone. An inertial positioning algorithm using the onboard accelerometer and gyroscope further aids route tracking.

The watch runs on a 540mAh silicon-carbon battery, rated for up to 14 days of typical use or 32 hours of continuous GPS tracking. It is compatible with both iOS and Android, and includes an onboard speaker for hands-free calls and NFC support for mobile payments.

HUAWEI Watch GT Runner 2 - PHP 19,999

The HUAWEI Watch GT Runner 2 will be available for pre-order in the Philippines from April 17 to 23, 2026. 

Pre-orders come with an exclusive bundle valued at up to PHP 13,384, which includes the HUAWEI FreeArc earbuds, an additional Fluoroelastomer strap, a three-month Huawei Health+ membership, and a two-year warranty with accidental damage protection. Customers who visit Huawei Experience Stores may also claim a PHP 2,000 trade-in token.

Early-bird offers are already available online starting April 8, 2026. Interested buyers can place a PHP 100 deposit via the HUAWEI Online Store to secure a PHP 3,000 discount upon checkout, or claim a PHP 1,000 early-bird voucher through HUAWEI's official storefronts on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.

Installment options are also available for those looking to spread out payments. Credit card holders can opt for plans of up to 24 months, with monthly payments starting at PHP 834. Home Credit financing is available for up to 18 months, starting at PHP 778 per month following a 30% down payment.
