OPPO Reno16 launched: Dimensity 8550 Super SoC, 200MP + 50MP + 50MP triple-cam

Apart from the Reno16 Pro, OPPO also launched the regular Reno16, the more compact of the two.

The handset also has a familiar look from its predecessors, with IP69K dust and water resistance, and now features Dream Core Planet Aesthetic with 3D Ice-Transparent Suspension Technology. It is available in Galaxy Purple, Heart-Fluttering Stars, and Moonlit Night Black colors.

In front, the phone has a 6.32-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, an In-Display fingerprint sensor, and a top-center punch-hole housing the 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

It has water resistance as well

Inside, it is powered by MediaTek's 4nm Dimensity 8550 Super SoC clocked up to 3.4GHz with Arm Mali-G720 MC8 graphics. It is paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.

The battery capacity is also fairly large at 6,700mAh, considering its smaller screen size. In comparison, the Reno15 Pro with a similar display size only has 6,200mAh. It supports 80W of Type-C wired charging.

For cameras, you'll find a 200MP f/1.8 OIS + 50MP f/2.0 116-degree ultra-wide + 50MP f/2.8 periscope w/ OIS cameras + Strobe Smart Flash—basically a high-end triple camera setup only reserved for high-end phones previously.

This has up to 120x zoom and up to 4K video shooting for both the back and front cameras.

The handset has WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth w/ up to LHDC 5.0 codec, GPS, and Android 16 OS based on ColorOS 16 with plenty of AI features.
