VinFast VF MPV 7 officially launched in the Philippines: 150kW electric motor, 450km range, and PHP 1,239,000 starting price

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast officially launched the VF MPV 7 family-focused battery electric vehicle in the Philippines.

Affordable family-focused 7-seater EV?

The new VF MPV 7 targets the popular MPV segment, which accounts for nearly 20 percent of automotive sales in the country, offering families a modern electric vehicle upgrade with spaciousness, strong performance, contemporary design, and lower running costs.

It features a clean and robust styling that measures 4,740 x 1,872 x 1,734 mm and has a 2,840 mm wheelbase.

Dubbed as the "golden ratio" design while pushing wheels towards the corners, it maximizes cabin space while delivering a premium road presence. In front is the signature V-shaped LED daytime running lights, sleek lines, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The cabin of the car is designed to feel like a comfortable mobile living room for multi-generational Filipino families. VinFast offers two stylish interior themes: an all-black for a sporty look or a dual-tone black and brown for a more premium feel. It is complemented by leatherette upholstery that is durable and easy to clean.

It has a leather-wrapped D-cut multifunction steering wheel, a large 10.1-inch infotainment touch screen (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), an automatic air-conditioning system (with PM2.5 air filtration and dedicated vents for all three rows), adjustable headrests, multiple USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports, cupholders, storage compartments, and flexible seating.

VinFast claims that it offers generous legroom and headroom even in the third row and a generous cargo capacity of 1,240 liters. It should handle school runs, grocery shopping, and weekend getaways.

Powering the car is a 150kW (approximately 201hp) electric motor with 280 Nm of torque and a 60.13 kWh battery. This is rated for 450km of range (NEDC) and features fast charging from 10 percent to 70 percent in 30 minutes. This should make it convenient for daily use and longer drives. 

First-time EV buyers will also appreciate the quiet, smooth operation and significantly lower energy costs compared to gasoline MPVs.

The battery subscription starts at PHP 2,700 per month for up to 2,000km (or PHP 4,150 for higher mileage).

For the first 1,000 customers who purchase the VF MPV 7, they will get 1 year of Free battery subscription or a direct PHP 27,000 discount on the battery-included model.

Additional benefits include FREE charging at V-Green stations until March 2029, a 7-year or 160,000km vehicle warranty, and a 10-year 200,000km battery warranty.
