According to the company, service authenticates users in under four seconds without requiring codes or user input, eliminating the attack surface often exploited by fraudsters in traditional authentication methods.
The company further explained that when a customer accesses banking apps, e-wallets, or digital platforms using DITO mobile data, DITO Verified silently performs a cryptographic exchange between the SIM card and the network.
Atty. Adel Tamano, Chief Commercial Officer, DITO Telecommunity, said,
Fraudsters today exploit weaknesses in legacy authentication methods. With DITO Verified, verification happens directly through the DITO mobile network — there is nothing for a scammer to steal. This is our commitment: to make the DITO SIM the most secure mobile identity in Philippine digital banking.
Eddie DeCurtis, Co-Founder and CEO, Shush Inc., noted,
With DITO's reach and Sherlock's proven platform, we are demonstrating that carrier-native silent authentication can protect millions of Filipinos at scale. This partnership places the Philippines at the forefront of the global authentication transition in Southeast Asia.
The service is powered by Shush Inc.'s Sherlock platform, which is already active in over 40 countries and trusted by enterprises worldwide.
DITO Verified meets AFASA and BSP rules for phishing‑resistant authentication. Promotexter calls it a true security upgrade. First unveiled in 2025 and showcased at MWC 2026, the rollout builds on DITO's 13.67M subscribers and 86.3% coverage.
