In particular, the city now enjoys coverage from more than 30 5G sites, bringing Globe's total mobile footprint in the area to over 40 cell sites.

Alongside mobile upgrades, Globe expanded its fiber backbone—now spanning over 330,000 kilometers nationwide to meet rising demand for fast, reliable internet across homes and businesses.

This move is designed to strengthen Dumaguete's digital infrastructure for education, tourism, public services, and economic growth.

According to Globe, both residents and visitors benefit from faster downloads, smoother streaming, more responsive gaming, and dependable connectivity. The enhanced network also improves access to online learning, essential services, and real‑time travel information, empowering Dumaguete's 145,000 residents to thrive in the digital economy.

Globe urges customers to maximize the upgraded network with 5G‑ready devices and manage accounts seamlessly via the GlobeOne app.
