Weather conditions in the metro can shift quickly during the rainy season, with clear mornings sometimes turning into wet, windy evenings. For commuters who use motorcycle-taxis as part of their daily routine, this variability can affect how they arrive at their destinations.

With that, MoveIt has launched Ride-Ready, a line of commuter essentials designed to address that gap. Available exclusively on GrabMart, the range includes a packable rain jacket, a scarf or cap that doubles as a helmet liner, and a refresh kit containing travel-size alcohol spray, cooling wipes, and tissue.

The launch comes as motorcycle-taxis continue to play a growing role in daily commuting. MoveIt recorded a 20% increase in monthly users during the first half of the year compared to the same period last year. Commuter feedback, however, pointed to recurring concerns about booking rides during sudden downpours or extreme heat, as well as hesitations around shared helmet hygiene.

What they should not have to accept is arriving at a meeting soaked, or starting the afternoon already behind," said MoveIt General Manager Wayne Jacinto. "Ride-Ready is a practical answer to that. We want our passengers to step off the ride the same way they left the house.

To introduce the line, MoveIt set up interactive booths in commercial districts frequented by its passengers, including select office buildings in Makati, Bonifacio Global City, Ortigas, and Cebu City from June to July. At these booths, commuters could claim Ride-Ready items and book their next ride on site.

With the rainy season and traffic congestion remaining ongoing concerns for commuters, MoveIt said the Ride-Ready line is intended to make daily travel more manageable by providing passengers with tools to stay comfortable regardless of weather conditions.

The Ride-Ready range became available on GrabMart starting July 13, with prices starting at P275. Bundled options combining multiple essentials are also offered at discounted rates. Further details are available on MoveIt's official social media channels.
