Asus ZenFone Max (2016) Announced, Runs With Snapdragon 615 And Marshmallow OS!

In India, Asus just unveiled a new variant of the popular ZenFone Max. Now called the Asus ZenFone Max (2016), the said handset now touts an upgraded SoC, storage capacity and newer operating system.

Coming from its slower Snapdragon 410 processor, the all new ZenFone Max is now using the better Snapdragon 615 octa core chip paired with Adreno 405 GPU. It's a setup that'll make your apps open and load faster, can now handle heavier type of games with less lags and stutters.

Apart from the upgrade in chipset, the ZenFone Max (2016) also touts dramatic upgrade in storage as it now has double the ROM at 32 GB which is expandable too. The last and the most important of them is it now runs with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The rest of the configuration includes the 5.5 inch HD IPS OGS screen w/ Gorilla Glass 4, 2 GB RAM / 3 GB RAM, 13 / 5 MP cameras and LTE connectivity.

It retails at R.S. 9,999 in India which is around in 7K in Philippine Pesos. There's no word yet though when will it reach our shores and how much will it cost.
