Aside from Sony, Alcatel might release not just one, but 5 new phones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain this year. To excite us further, one of them might be a modular device!

According to sources, one Alcatel smartphone will have a modular system that an be achieved through replaceable back covers. It could be similar from what Motorola did with their snap-on accessories on Moto Z and Moto Z Play. If that will be the case, all you'll need to do is buy another replaceable module at the back to enhance or add a new function to your phone.

Then the handset is rumored to run on an unknown MediaTek octa core processor and have a 13 MP main camera shooter behind. It might be called the Alcal Idol 5 and it is expected to retail at around 320 Euros.
