Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei, has also expanded its mid-range line of smartphones by releasing the Honor 7A.

The new Honor 7A comes with Huawei's new 18:9 FullView taller screen design with slimmer side, top, and bottom bezels.

On the front, it has a 5.77-inch HD+ 2.5D screen with a resolution of 1440 x 720 which translatest to 277 ppi. Inside, it is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, Adreno 505 GPU, 2 or 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and ample 3,000mAh battery.

At the back, the phone has a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup. The secondary 2MP sensor is the depth sensor for bokeh or portrait shots. Only the one with 3GB RAM/32GB ROM will have the secondary sensor though.

For selfies, it has an 8MP sensor with Smart Selfie Toning Flash that has adjustments for various lighting siturations like the Nova 2 lite.

The 8MP sensor also has the trendy face unlock effect. According to Honor, it can scan up to 1024 facial features.

The phone also has a fingerprint scanner at the back, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS and dual SIM card slots.

It measures at 152.4 x 73 x 7.8 mm and boots with Android 8.0 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.0 skin out of the box.

The phone will go on sale starting April 3 in China for CNY 799 (PHP 6.6K) for the 2GB RAM model and CNY 999 (PHP 8.2K) for the 3GB RAM variant respectively.

There's no word yet if it'll be available outside of China yet.
