Xiaomi "cereus" with 12 nm MT6765 chip appears on Geekbench

Xiaomi has a new mysterious upcoming smartphone spotted on Geekbench, the cereus. Inside, it has the modern 12 nm based MediaTek MT6765 octa-core chip clocked at 2.0GHz.

Xiaomi's upcoming monster budget phone?

According to rumors, it could be the Xiaomi's update to the Redmi 5A, the possible Redmi 6A. Geekbench also revealed that it scored 745 points in the single-core test and 3,562 points in multi-core test. In comparison, the Redmi 5A only scored 662 and 1,839 respectively.

It'll also come with 3GB RAM and the newer Android 8.1 Oreo OS. We can also expect it to load with 3GB RAM, enough battery capacity, newer cameras, fingerprint scanner, and LTE connectivity.

Unfortunately, details are still scarce for now. But, based on its chipset, the "cereus" or the possbile Redmi 6A is a very promising budget smartphone.
