GCash now accepted in Alfamart

Globe Fintech Innovations Inc. (Mynt) is now enabling Alfamart branches around the Philippines to be able to accept GCash QR-based mobile payments.

GCash is now available in Alfamart

Alfamart Philippines is Mynt's latest partner for the electronic mobile wallet GCash. Customers can now pay for their items just by scanning QR codes. This adds another dynamic in terms of payment methods.

Alfamart is a joint project by SM and Alfamart Indonesia. It is a small store similar to a convenient store that offers Filipinos with basic goods, fresh meat, poultry and vegetables as well as food-to-go. They also have services such as ATM, bills payment and prepaid load.

GCash's Scan to Pay feature is easy to use as well. A customer with an Android or Apple smartphone only need to download the latest version of the GCash app, register an account, and fund GCash wallet at any of the 15,000 GCash Partner Outlets nationwide. Once downloaded, the customer just need to tap the scan QR option, point the phone's camera at the GCash QR code and pay.
