In their tenure, Vivo has proven that they are not just an average brand. They are a global smartphone maker that is capable of pushing innovation in their devices. That became possible by investing in their extensive research and development department.

In terms of smartphones, innovation came in the form of the X21 and the NEX. The X21 sports an innovative and world's first In-Display fingerprint scanner while the Vivo NEX sports a true FullView display with no bezels. The Vivo NEX was able to achieve that via a motorized pop up camera.

Vivo is now one of the top 5 brands in the world. In their homeland in China, they are number 3 brand. In the Philippines, they got the 3rd spot as well in just 2 years. Their success can be attributed to their high quality products and overall good service as well. The Vivo X21 is also one of the best selling smartphone in the world according to a recent market study a few months ago.

In the Philippines, the Vivo is still a young smartphone company. They started with their Y-series and V-series smartphones that are entry-level and midrange-lever smartphones respectively. With the X21, they made the debut of their X-series in the country proving that they can also bring high-end devices in the country. 

The Vivo X21 made its mark with its In-Display fingerprint scanning technology. They did not put it on the chin or back of the device. They put it on the lower half of display to maximize the front of the device for a high screen-to-body ratio. It also has a premium design with a very attractive glass back as well.

The display is a 6.28-inch huge display. It has a Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor and Qualcomm's AIE technology for AI applications. It also has the Adreno 512 GPU for gaming, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and 3,200mAh and fast charging. 

The AI feature makes sure that the phone is always in top condition by handling the background apps and it will also make sure that your phone is optimized as well. It also has a dedicated game mode that will block notifications and calls for uninterrupted gaming.

In terms of camera, it has a dual camera setup at the back with a 12MP f/1.8 primary sensor and a 5MP f/2.4 secondary depth sensor with Dual Pixel PDAF focus and LED flash. It also has some great camera modes such as Face Beauty, AR stickers and HDR, Portrait Mode as well as PRO Mode. Face Beauty and HDR are said to be AI assisted as well. AI also helps in detecting scenes so that it can optimize the best camera settings for different scenarios.

For selfies, it has a 12MP f/2.0 sensor with AI Face Beauty, HDR mode and stickers. The AI can also detect age, gender and other facial features to adjust the camera settings to create natural looking selfies.
