LG's PH mobile division is not dead yet?

According to its main headquarters in South Korea, "rumors that LG will be withdrawing its mobile business is not true."

The South Korean company even said that they are "working on improving its business structure to enhance the overall business efficiency of LG's mobile business."

The full statement of LG sent to Rappler stated that:

LG Electronics is working on improving its business structure to enhance the overall business efficiency of LG's mobile business. However, rumors that LG will be withdrawing its mobile business is not true. This is a part of our long-term strategy to improve business competitiveness and expand presence in the future global market. LG will continue to strive to provide better products and services to its consumers and build consumer trust.

However, many LG stores have already closed, which is not a good signal for the electronics brand. In fact, one of their main kiosks located at SM Megamall is now gone.

Some of our dealer friends are not carrying LG smartphones anymore as well.

But, we are still hoping that LG can still recover. LG makes some of the best smartphones out there. We wish them the best.
