Huawei Maimang 8 phone and TC5200 router announced

Huawei just released the Maimang 8 in China, a mid-ranger that reminds us of the P smart+ 2019 with larger RAM and internal storage.

Like the P smart+ 2019, Maimang 8 is equipped with a 19:5:9 6.21-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a tiny dewdrop notch. Inside, it still runs with the Kirin 710 chip, but it is now paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage instead of just 3GB RAM and 64GB storage.

It also has an expandable storage up to 512GB and 3,400mAh battery with micro USB charging.

At the back, it has the 24MP + 16MP + 2MP triple-camera setup with 480p slow-mo video mode. For selfies, there's an 8MP shooter.

Huawei also upgraded its UI from EMUI 8.1 to EMUI 9.0 based on Android Pie OS.

Huawei Maimang 8 is priced at CNY 1,899 (around PHP 14.2K). It is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale from June 12.

Huawei also introduced the TC5200, an 802.11 ac dual-band Gigabit router price at CNY 269 (around PHP 2K).

There's no word regarding its international date of availability yet.
