OPPO rolls out ColorOS 6 beta for F9, announces list of phones to be updated

In a surprise move, OPPO announced that the company has started rolling out the ColorOS 6 Open Beta for the F9. In addition, the Chinese tech giant revealed its initial list of phones that will receive the said update.

The announcement is a big deal as OPPO is not that known for providing consistent major updated to their previous phones.

Basically, OPPO F9 users can update its aging Android 8.1 Oreo OS w/ ColorsOS 5.2 skin to the company's latest ColorOS 6 skin based on Android 9.0 Pie OS.

OPPO F9 users will enjoy a refined and clear user interface and new features like improved interactions, enhanced AI capabilities, and several optimizations.

In addition, ColorOS 6 features a new Navigation Gesture, Drawer Mode, Hyper Boost, Game Space, Music Party, Riding Mode, and a Smart Assistant.

It also has new security features like App Encryption, Private Safe, and Find my Device.

OPPO F9 users will receive the update by the end of July.

On August, OPPO will update the Find X. On September, OPPO will update the R17, R17 Pro, R17 Neo, RX17 Pro, RX17 Neo, R15, F7, F7 Youth, and AX7 Pro.

Most likely, this is just the start.
