108MP monster camera sensor

On Twitter, Samsung's ISOCELL brand announced that it will make the world's first 108MP camera sensor official on August 12, 2019.

Compared with 40MP, 48MP, and 64MP cameras, the new camera sensor of Samsung is way more massive. In fact, 108MP or 12032 x 9024 pixels is the biggest for smartphones yet.

The camera is expected to use a Quad Bayer filter camera solution by combining four pixels into one.

From 108MP it will be at 27MP for added details and better overall colors. There could also be an option to shoot at full 108MP for those who are in need of all of those pixels.

Other than that, we don't know the rest of the missing details yet. Rumors suggest that it could first be available with the rumored Mi MIX 4 of Xiaomi.

Most likely, it will launch at the end of 2019 or early 2020 as well.
