After the negative feedbacks Samsung received, the company reintroduces the Galaxy Fold in Korea on September 6.

This variant will be 5G-ready in selected countries, so users can enjoy the device with the fastest network speeds that are accessible.

How the Galaxy Fold was enhanced?

For the relaunch, DJ Koh, President, and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics stated that "The category-defining Galaxy Fold is a device that defies the barriers of traditional smartphone design. Now, we’re excited to release this pioneering mobile technology, and allow consumers to experience it for themselves,".

He emphasized the fact that consumers have positive reactions towards larger screens while claiming that the Galaxy Fold’s revolutionary form factor offers a bigger, more immersive screen without sacrificing portability.

Samsung did not only improve the design and construction but also took the time to reassess the entire consumer’s usage. According to the company, the Galaxy Fold is a combination of users’ favorite smartphone and tablet features to deliver a fresh and novel experience.

It is sporting a new form, one-of-a-kind foldable UX, functional camera, and excellent performance. When the device is in the closed position, the user can access the basics on one hand while opening it allows multitasking from watching videos, playing games and others on its 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display.

Aside from that, it is claimed that this smartphone alters the process of capturing and sharing photos and videos. With App Continuity users can shoot a quick video when it is closed then they can watch it by simply opening the device.

The video seamlessly shifts from the cover display to the main display. In addition to that, one can run multiple apps at once in real-time and effectively multitask using the Multi-Active Window.

After relaunching the Galaxy Fold in Korea, Samsung is planning to roll it out to limited countries including France, Germany, Singapore, UK, US, and more. It will be available in two colors, Cosmos Black and Space Silver.

There are no details yet on the price and availability in the Philippines so please stay tuned for the updates.
