Globe's FREE WiFi service now in San Juan

Globe Telecom has expanded its free WiFi service anew after it teamed up with the local government unit of San Juan.

Residents can now enjoy fast and free internet access as GoWiFi has been initially rolled out in 18 areas.

Globe said the service is available in City Hall, San Juan Medical Center, San Juan National High School, Pinaglabanan Shrine, and barangay halls in along-Bato, Batis, Corazon de Jesús, Ermitaño, Pasadeña, Rivera, Salapan, Isabelita, Kabayanan, Little Baguio, Onse, Tibagan, Balong-Bato , and Greenhills.

We are collaborating with the Mayor Francis Zamora and the local government unit of San Juan to enable residents to access government services online using GoWiFi, Globe Chief Commercial Officer Albert de Larrazabal said. 

As Zamora previously said San Juan would embrace digital transformation, Larrazabal said Globe would support this vision by improving the network connectivity in the city. 

The telco firm is targeting to build additional eleven cell sites and roll-out fiber optic cables in San Juan, Larrazabal noted. 

Globe has been boosting its GoWiFi presence. It ended the first half with 2,500 sites nationwide.
