The selfie cams |
Huawei Nova 5T is possibly the most versatile camera phone with an attractive price tag of PHP 18,990. As said in our review, it is the first smartphone in the country with four cameras at its rear under PHP 30K.
These four AI cameras consist of 48MP f/1.8 Sony IMX586 w/ PDAF, CAF, 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor and LED flash. Each of them is playing its role in making the Nova 5T highly suitable for all-around use.
The AI function in its cameras is useful for scene detection and optimization. For example, it can recognize that you are taking a photo of greenery, food, flower and other things in a matter of seconds.
If you want to shoot the subject with detailed preciseness, there’s the 48MP main camera. The 16MP wide-angle sensor can give a wider field of view which is much preferred for cinematic landscapes.
This phone is also equipped for close-up photography as it has the 2MP 4cm macro lens. Meanwhile, the 2MP depth is quite useful for those aiming for artsy bokeh shots with nice blurs.
For selfies, it has a 32MP f/2.0 sensor with portrait mode and face beauty that can be set from level 1 to 10 maximum.
Moreover, it is paired with a 2018 flagship processor, the Kirin 980. Kirin 980 has a high-end type of image signal processor that is very important in helping us achieve great shots.
Priced at PHP 22,990, the Samsung Galaxy A70 is also equipped with fine rear cameras. It features has a 32MP f/1.7 main sensor paired + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens + 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor with AF and LED flash.
The Live Focus mode of A70 utilizes both a 32MP camera and a 5MP depth sensor to produce images with a blurred background that looked pretty amazing. The 8MP ultra-wide lens provided a good field-of-view and this mode is easily accessed on the camera app.
Similar to the Nova 5T, it has a front camera with a 32MP f/2.0 sensor but the difference lies in the fact that it is not AI-assisted.
OPPO Reno has the most expensive pricing as it is sold for PHP 26,990. This smartphone is equipped with a dual-camera setting: an AI-assisted 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 primary camera with PDAF focus and a secondary 5MP f/2.4 depth camera.
The LED flash is positioned at the back of its shark fin-like pop-up camera.
Reno lacks the ultra-wide-angle lens but there are inclusions of extra features like Dazzle Color mode for daylight shots and Night mode for improving night shots.
The front part of its pop-up camera houses the 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera with auto HDR and portrait mode.
