An overview of the Macbook Pro 16-inch

The premium 16-inch Macbook Pro was launched as the largest Macbook Pro since the sale of the 17-inch MacBook Pro was terminated way back in 2012.

This device flaunts a larger display with tinier bezels as compared to the 15-inch variant. The screen has a resolution of 3072x1920 pixels with up to 500 nits of brightness. 

For the processor, this also has up to 64GB of RAM and up to 8TB of SSD storage. an AMD Radeon Pro 5000M graphics options paired with GDDR6 video memory and an 8GB VRAM option. 

Moreover, Macbook Pro 16-inches features a bigger battery capacity of 100Wh for longer usage, a redesigned six-speaker sound system, and improved microphones.

Another feature of this notebook is an updated "Magic Keyboard" that has a scissor mechanism with 1mm key travel. This is different from the not so much popular butterfly mechanism.

The Touch Bar is retained on this notebook, however, the physical Esc key is back. In line with the latest MacBook Air, the Touch ID sensor has also been disconnected from the Touch Bar.

Apple.com/PH updated its page with two models of the new Macbook Pro. The entry-level model with a 6-core Intel-core 9th Generation processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD starts at PHP 141,990.

The second model comes with an 8-core Intel-core 9th Generation processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD starts at PHP 165,990.

The website also said that the new 16-inch Macbook Pros are not yet available but because they are already posted on the Philippine website, we can expect its arrival soon.
