Little by little, LG is slowly revealing more details about its upcoming smartphone, the LG Velvet. Today, the company announced that it will go official on May 7, 2020.

Aside from the launch date reveal, the South Korean tech giant also shared the official colorways of the LG Velvet: Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Aurora Green, and Illusion Sunset.

To recall, the LG Velvet is LG's promising new mid-ranger. It uses a premium aluminum metal back with the front-back symmetrical curves. The back highlights the "Raindrop" camera descending order by size. In the front, it showed that the device has neat curves along with tiny bezels and the U-shaped notch.

With Snapdragon inside

Under the hood, the device will be powered by the 7nm EUV Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor with up to 2.4GHz clock speed, Adreno 620 GPU, and built-in 5G modem.

The phone also has a possible separate Google Assistant key and a 3.5mm headphone slot.
