Realme sustains 7th spot in worldwide smartphone market

Despite the challenges brought by the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), China's realme has secured anew the 7th spot in the global smartphone market for the month of February.

Realme continues to make a mark in the smartphone industry 

Citing data from Counterpoint Research, Realme continued to witness higher sales despite the fact that the smartphone industry has also begun bearing the brunt of the pandemic.

South Korea-based Samsung remained the top player, while Apple and Huawei got the second and third spots, respectively. Chinese brands Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo also made it to the top six.

Given the global health crisis, many brands are assisting their consumers. 

For instance, realme Philippines has extended the warranty and gadget replacement period for its products

to support Filipinos during the mandated enhanced community quarantine.

To encourage its fans to stay at home during the lockdown period, realme Philippines has launched different knowledge-sharing programs such as its Facebook Livestream Squadcast and MasterShot series.

Once the COVID-19 ends, realme assures it would introduce its own Smartphone + AIoT smart ecosystem that is well-adapted to the lifestyle of the youth.
