Market research firm Canalys has recently revealed the 10 best-selling smartphones in the world for Q1 2020.

Apple, Xiaomi, and Samsung dominated the list

It revealed that the iPhone 11 is still dominating the list with estimated sell-in shipments of around 18 million units worldwide. But coming from the Q4 2019 listseveral iPhones such as the iPhone XR and iPhone 8 was removed from the global top 10 list.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi continued its strong performance. The Redmi Note 8 and Note 8T phones (similar phones) recorded a whopping figure of over 8 million. It made the said device the best-selling Android smartphone in the world for the said period.

Next on the list are the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A10s followed by the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The iPhone 11 Pro Max, Galaxy A20s, Galaxy A01, Redmi 8A, and iPhone 11 Pro completes the top 10 list.

Canalys added that the iPhone 11 series took three spots in the Q1 2020 top ten smartphone models. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max accounted for 10 percent of global smartphone share.

In Q4 2019, only two Xiaomi phones made the list. Now, there are 3 Redmi phones included. Xiaomi's success is probably due to the outstanding specs to price ratio of their smartphones that made the list.

Samsung has a total of four units in the list.

Interestingly, no unit from Huawei, OPPO, and Vivo was included in the list.

Huawei is the world's second-largest mobile brand behind Samsung. While OPPO and Vivo are always fighting for the number 5 position.
