Huawei updates the almost 3-year-old Mate 10 to Android 10

Apart from the P20 Pro, Huawei has started rolling out the latest Android 10-based EMUI 10 update to an even older flagship, the Huawei Mate 10.

Android 10 and EMUI 10 for Mate 10

Users in Europe and Asia are reportedly receiving the update via OTA. The update is 4.39GB big and it contains Android 10 and EMUI 10 skin.

To recall, EMUI 10 is based on Android 10 with a better interface, enhanced data/privacy protection, and more features than previous-generation Huawei Android skins.

To update, just go the settings of your phone and look for Software and update. Click the update and make sure that your phone has ample battery life and you are connected to a stable internet connection

Mate 10 is one of the many Huawei devices that received or will receive the EMUI 10 upgrade.

First announced in October 2017, the Huawei Mate 10 is an almost 3-year-old device equipped with a 3D curved back design, 5.9-inch IPS QHD display, 10nm Kirin 970 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 4,000mAh battery, USB-C, 22.5W SuperCharge, Leica 20MP f/1.6 mono + 12MP f/1.6 RGB, 8MP f/2.0 selfie cam, and 4G LTE Cat 18.

Originally, the phone is powered by an Android 8.0 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.0 skin.

EMUI 10 is the second major OS update that his handset has received.
