How much difference does PHP 10K make?

Build/Design - Both devices come premium materials. The nova 7 SE 5G has a glass back and metallic frame. The Note10 lite has a glass back design as well. The advantage of the Galaxy Note10 Lite is the S Pen and a center punch-hole screen. The punch-hole on the nova 7 SE 5G is left-aligned.

Display - Huawei nova 7 SE 5G has a 6.5-inch 2.5D curved LTPS screen with 2400 x 1080 FHD+ resolution and 405 ppi pixel density.

Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite has a slightly taller 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2400 x 1080 FHD+ resolution at 393 ppi pixel density.


The Galaxy Note10 Lite gets a bit of an edge here since it has a slightly taller Super AMOLED screen. Both devices sport a punch-hole design as well.

Specs - For performance, Huawei nova 7 SE 5G houses the 2.22GHz 7nm Kirin 820 octa-core processor with DaVince NPU, Mali-G57 MP6 with GPU Turbo, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB expandable UFS 2.1 storage, and a 4,000mAh with 40W SuperCharge.


Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite has 2.7GHz Exynos 9810 octa-core processor, Mali-G72 MP18, 8GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and a 4,500mAh with 25W fast charging.


The Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite has a slightly higher clocked CPU. However, the nova 7 SE 5G's Kirin 820 octa-core processor performs very comparably to a lot of flagship processors. Kirin 820 seems to be more powerful based on benchmarks though.


The Note10 Lite also has a bigger battery, but the nova 7 SE 5G has a more powerful 40W SuperCharge technology.

The nova 7 SE 5G, as the name implies, has 5G connectivity. This makes it ready for the future for years to come. Both also come with 4G LTE connectivity and dual-band WiFi.

Cameras - The Huawei nova 7 SE 5G has a quad-camera setup with 64MP f/1.8 + 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide-angle + 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro + 2MP f/2.4 depth + dual-tone LED flash. It also has a 16MP f/2.0 selfie sensor.

Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite has a triple-camera setup with a combo of 12MP f/1.7 w/ OIS + 12MP f/2.2 123-degree ultra-wide-angle camera + 12MP f/2.4 OIS 2x telephoto camera w/ LED flash. It also has a 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

In terms of main camera specs, Huawei nova 7 SE 5G's 64MP quad-camera setup looks a lot more impressive than the Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite's 12MP triple-camera setup.

For selfies, Galaxy Note 10 Lite's 32MP sensor takes the lead.

Our thoughts

Minus the S Pen, the Huawei nova 7 SE 5G matches up well with the Galaxy Note10 Lite. There are even some areas where it provides better specs despite the PHP 10K price difference.

If you want to save more, the Huawei nova 7 SE 5G could be the better deal especially if you want to future-proof your device with 5G capabilities. If you have 30K in your pocket and you need the S Pen functionalities, the Galaxy Note10 Lite is the phone to get.
