Counterpoint Research reported that OPPO took the top spot in Southeast Asia in terms of smartphone shipment. It enjoyed a huge gain for Q2 2020.

According to Counterpoint, OPPO gained a 20.3 percent market share in SEA in Q2 2020. In comparison, Q2 2019 saw OPPO rank second with 7.3 million units shipped to SEA key markets like the Philippines and Indonesia.

OPPO has bested the likes of Samsung, vivo, Xiaomi, and realme to be the mobile top brand in the region.

One of the highlights is the OPPO Reno4 which is released in August 2020. In addition, OPPO also formally announced its IoT portfolio that included the OPPO Watch 41mm scheduled to be commercially available on September 18 in PH.

As a refresher, the OPPO Reno4 features a 6.43-inch Gorilla Glass protected AMOLED screen with  FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution at 409 ppi, an In-Display fingerprint reader, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, Netflix HD Streaming Certification, 800 nits peak brightness, 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, In-Display fingerprint reader, and a tiny pill-shaped punch-hole housing the 32MP + AI-enhanced Smart Sensor.

Inside, it has an 8nm SD720 SoC, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, 4,000mAh battery, and USB-C 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 with TÜV Rheinland-certified Safe Fast-Charge System. 

For cameras, it has a quad-camera setup with 48MP f/1.7 w/ AF and EIS + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle + 2MP f/2.4 w/ 4cm macro + 2MP f/2.4 mono + LED flash.

It is priced at just PHP 18,990 proving to be one of the greater factors in OPPO's Q2 success.
