AnTuTu reveals that a mysterious smartphone named ORION was spotted in the background of the AnTuTu Database. The smartphone's System on A chip features 4 Cortext-A78 and 4 Cortex-A55 clocked at 3.GHz and the Mali-G78 GPU. This is consistent with the new 5nm Exynos 1080 architecture that Samsung previously announced. This new SoC is supposed to replace the two-generation old Exynos 980. Unfortunately, the Exynos 1080 will be a Chinese Market exclusive and is expected to arrive on a vivo smartphone too.

This mysterious smartphone also features a 2376 x 1080p display, 8GB RAM, 512GB of internal storage. It is worth noting that the UX part of the test reveals 120Hz. It is not yet confirmed whether this 120Hz refers to the display's refresh rate.

The above specs yielded an overall score of 693,600. To break it down, it scored 181,099 in CPU tests, 297,676 in GPU tests, 115,169 in Memory tests, and 99,656 in UX.

If true, this mid-range SoC destroys the current flagship Snapdragon 865 and 865+. AnTuTu continues that the new Soc has a MASSIVE advantage in the GPU tests while the LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 is offering significant upgrades over the previous generation. This is also consistent with ARM's latest Mali-G78 claims that it performs 25 percent better than the previous generation.

What do you guys think?
