Smart said that is Giga suite of mobile data packages offers mobile data at an even more affordable rate at around PHP 11 to 12.50 per GB or around USD 0.22 to 0.25 per gigabyte.

For example, GIGA VIDEO 50 only offers 1GB open access data valid for 3 days, but it has FREE 1GB of daily access to YouTube, iWant, NBA, and Cignal Play or a total of 4GB data for just PHP 50. That's equivalent to PHP 12.50 per GB or USD 0.25 per GB.

Smart even has other plans with longer validity for an even lower price per gigabyte like the GIGA VIDEO 99 with a total of 9GB data for PHP 99 or around PHP 11 per GB or about USD 0.22 per GB.

For heavy users, Smart has other GIGA promos which could provide a total of 26GB of data for PHP 199 or around PHP 7.37 per GB or about USD 0.15 per GB.

Competitor, Globe on the other hand, also has affordable prepaid promos that you can find in this link.

Apart from affordable data packages, telcos in the Philippines are investing heavily to improve service. For more info, read here.
