Qualcomm powered Huawei phones?

We all know about the ban the US government imposed on Huawei. This restricts the companies that can do business with the Chinese giant. That's why companies like Qualcomm and MediaTek applied for a special license to supply chipsets for Huawei.

Now, reports surfaced that Qualcomm has been approved to do so. This is after months of waiting and now we might see Snapdragon-powered Huawei smartphones. This is big news since Huawei cannot manufacture its HiSilicon Kirin chipsets anymore since TSMC, the chip manufacturer, uses parts that come from the US. The Mate 40 series could be the last Kirin-powered smartphones from the brand.

Qualcomm now joins MediaTek, Intel, AMD, Samsung Display, Sony, and more as companies granted permission by the US government to transact with Huawei.

This could mean that Huawei's flagship P series and future Mate series smartphones could be either sporting Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoC or MediaTek Dimensity SoC.

What do you guys think?
