Samsung confirms Exynos chip launch on January 12, the Exynos 2100?

Samsung recently shared on YouTube a teaser stating the "Exynos is back" hashtag and the January 12, 2021 date.

The Exynos 2100 flagship chip?

This suggests that the company will unveil its newest flagship SoC that will power the global versions upcoming Galaxy S21 series on the said date.

The chip is rumored to be called Exynos 2100, the second 5nm chip of the company that is even higher-end compared to Exynos 1080. Exynos 2100 could be built with 1x ARM's X1 Prime Core clocked at 2.91GHz, 3x Cortex-A78s clocked at 2.81GHz, and 4x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.21GHz. It is also expected to be paired with a Mali-G78 GPU with an unknown number of cores yet.

Exynos 2100 is expected to battle the likes of the Apple A14 Bionic chip, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, and Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 9000.
