vivo's X50 Pro+ is one of the best camera phones of the year, but vivo is not stopping there. To further improve its camera game, the innovative Chinese mobile maker is partnering with German optical company Zeiss.
vivo announced that it will launch the X60 series on December 29. A poster from Weibo shared the full design of the phone, a text mentioning Exynos 1080, and the logo of ZEISS.
The phone is expected to be the first smartphone in the world with Samsung's 5nm Exynos 1080 chip. It'll also ZEISS cameras and the Android-based Origin OS to replace Funtouch.
The poster shows that there will be three types of X60 phones. The one in the middle is the X60 with triple cameras without the periscope lens. The X60 Pro and X60 Pro+ have a similar quad-camera design with periscope lenses, but they are expected to have differences in the sensors used. The Pro+ version should be the better camera phone between the two.
We do not know yet the exact role of ZEISS here, but we expect its help to elevate the camera performance of this handset. Hopefully, it'll be a Huawei x Leica-like partnership
We are hoping for a Huawei x Leica-like type of partnership that is more than just a co-branding.
What do you guys think?
