ASUS ROG Phone 5 to arrive in the Philippines on April 7!

ASUS just announced on its Facebook account that it's launching the highly-anticipated ROG Phone 5 soon in the Philippines.

Better design and gaming performance?

Just a few weeks ago, the company revealed the ROG Phone 5, along with ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Ultimate. These three come with a dot matrix design. the powerful Snapdragon 888 processor, and a 144Hz Samsung AMOLED display.

To recall, the ROG Phone 5 has a new rear matrix display that also has customizable animations. ASUS claims that it responds to a different system and in-game events. There's a  Samsung AMOLED display in front with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus. 

Inside, the ROG Phone 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 ROM. It has a three variants: a 8GB/128GB, a 12GB/256GB, and a16GB/256GB.

According to the company,  the internal layout has been changed to place the CPU at the center of the phone along with its 3D Vapor Chamber for optimal thermal performance. ASUS claims that this gaming device was able to score a record-breaking 742,776 in the AnTuTu benchmark.

ASUS equipped this device with symmetrical dual front-facing speakers on both sides of the screen. Meanwhile, there's a 3.5mm headphone jack with high-end ESS ES9280AC Pro DAC and the USB Type-C port. It also sports a large 6,000mAh (2x 3,000mAh to allow super-fast charging) battery with 65W fast charging. 

For mobile photography, this phone features a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera, 13MP ultra-wide, and macro camera. Also, it has a 24MP camera for selfies.

Other features include the Hyper Fusion Technology for stronger and faster wireless connections, the quad-microphone system for better in-game audio communications, a side-mounted USB port, Aura RGB Lighting with two-color simultaneous lighting, AirTrigger 5, and motion controls.
