Globe 5G roaming reaches the middle-east

Last February, Globe debuted its 5G roaming service in Thailand in collaboration with the country's largest telco, AIS. Now, through its partnership with Du Telecom, Globe Telecom expands its outbound 5G roaming services in the United Arab Emirates. Inbound roaming services, which allow subscribers from other operators to access Globe's 5G network and services are also expected to begin this month.

The UAE is one of the top destinations for overseas Filipino workers and is a regional trading and tourism hub.

“We understand that travelling is challenging at the moment given the health crisis, but we recognize that there are Filipinos who still need to leave the safety of their homes to fulfil responsibilities overseas. We want to assure them of instant and seamless connectivity in countries with Globe’s 5G roaming service,” said KD Dizon, Globe’s Head for Consumer Mobile Business.

Once international travel resumes, Globe subscribers with 5G-powered smartphones can take advantage of the 5G roaming offered by Globe and its partner telco. Postpaid and prepaid subscribers can experience 5G speeds using Globe's Roam Surf 399 (all-day for postpaid, 1GB prepaid) and other Roam Surf promos with no additional charge.

Currently, Globe is offering 5G in 1069 locations in the Philippines.
