Lenovo announces Legion 7, Legion 5 Pro, Legion 5 powered by AMD Ryzen 5000H series

The 6th Gen Lenovo Legion gaming laptops will now be powered by AMD Ryzen 5000H series CPUs that can provide over 18 percent faster single-thread performance, over 50 percent faster graphical performance, and over 70 percent faster overall performance. 

The three new laptops will also feature NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 30 series mobile graphics with support for 2nd Gen Ray-Tracing cores, 3rd Gen Tensor Cores, NVIDIA DLSS, NVIDIA Reflex, NVIDIA broadcast, and NVIDIA Studio. The exact GPU variants are the RTX 3060, 3070, and 3080.

The next-gen Legion laptops also feature AI improvements. The Legion AI Engine can automatically detect the game you launch to automatically optimize the laptop's settings for up to 17 percent more FPS. The Legion AI Engine optimizes the power supplied to both the CPU and GPU according to the game's resource demands.

The Lenovo Legion 7, along with the others, will also have better thermals that allow it to perform at high clock speeds for 12 hours with zero throttling. The thermal management system will feature Vapor Chamber technology, TSI V2.0 Fan 12V fan design, 27 percent larger thermal module, and over 10,520 CNC Machine drilled Intake Vents for the Legion 7 while the Legion 5 Pro will have improved fans to provide 20 percent more airflow, 2 x 10mm heat pipes + 2 x 8mm heat pipe configuration, and thermal pad for CPU-VRM, GPU-VRAM, SSD, RAM, and PCH.

The Legion 7 and Legion 5 Pro features the world's first 16-inch QHD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 165Hz refresh rate. It also has 100 percent sRGB coverage, Vesa-certified HDR 400, Dolby Vision, NVIDIA G-Sync support, and X-Rite Pantone certification. It is also TUV Rheinland certification for Blue Light protection.

In terms of audio, the immersive experience has Nahimic audio to provide 3D audio for gaming. It has different features such as surround sound, sound tracker, night mode, sound sharing, N-Force, and Bluetooth link.

The 6th Gen Legion laptops feature the Legion TrueStrike keyboard with soft-landing tactile switches, 25 percent larger one-piece trackpad, keyboard intake system, full-size number pad, large arrow keys, anti-ghosting, and RGB lighting.

Inside, the Legion 7 can come with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU. up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 2TB NVMe PCIe SSD, and best in class 3-year Premium Care. The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 Pro has up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM, up to 1TB NVMe SSD with a 2nd M.2 slot, and the same warranty.

The Legion 5 has up to AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, up to 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and up to 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD for storage.

The Legion gaming ecosystem has some accessories to complete the experience such as the Legion Y25 25-inch FHD IPS 240Hz gaming monitor, Legion M600 wireless gaming mouse, and Legion H600/S600 wireless gaming headsets with Qi Wireless Charging.
