POCO Global releases M3 Pro 5G, a dirt-cheap 5G-ready smartphone for the masses!

On schedule, POCO today launched the upgraded 5G version of the M3 last year—the POCO M3 Pro 5G.

This handset aiming to provide the next-generation 5G connectivity without breaking the bank.

It features a unique-looking back design available in Power Black, Cool Blue, POCO Yellow colorways as well as a Gorilla Glass 3 protected 6.5-inch LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate with DynamicSwitch tech (30/50/60/90Hz), FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, top-center punch-hole for the selfie camera in front.

Inside, it is powered by the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and a built-in 5G modem. It is paired with up to 6GB LPDDR4X expandable internal storage, up to 128GB UFS 2.2 expandable internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with a USB-C 18W fast charging tech (22.5W bundle charger).

Despite having a large 5,000mAh battery and a large display, POCO claims that it is considered lightweight at just around 190 grams.

This device also has a 48MP f/1.8 main camera with a Night mode paired with a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP portrait camera with a dual-LED flash. For selfies, it uses an 8MP snapper.

It also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, IR Blaster remote control, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, FM Radio, NFC (in some regions), GPS, and dual SIM slots.

The device runs with Android 11 OS with MIUI 12 skin out of the box.

The POCO M3 Pro will be available with an early bird price from May 20 to May 22, 2021.

It will also be available at Shopee and Lazada in different regions. But there's no word yet when will it be available for the Philippine market.
