Fitbit outs a Minion-themed Ace 3 fitness tracker for kids, now available in PH

Fitness wearable brand Fitbit released the Ace 3 Special Edition: Minions to encourage healthy habits among young kids.

Fun Minion design plus a load of kid-friendly features

Fitbit is bringing one of the most beloved characters by children, Illumination’s Minions to Ace 3 fitness tracker. The Minions Yellow sports an embossed Minions design with a comfortable and secure silicone band and bumper. 

However, kids can customize this by having additional Minions-themed bands in Despicable Blue and Mischief Black. Head of Global Strategic Partnerships for Fitbit at Google Alison Ross Powers added,

Parents and kids love our Ace activity and sleep trackers for their engaging and motivating features that inspire kids to stay active and build healthy habits. Introducing Illumination’s Minions to the Ace family brings fun, new Minions-inspired features that weave in even more personality and surprise into the Fitbit experience for families and kids, keeping them moving and happy alongside their favorite on-screen characters.

This wearable features a new animated clock face, that allows kids to become the Minions’ latest "boss". The animated character runs, dances, skateboards, and swims, pushing kids to get moving. It also illustrates their progress towards daily customizable goals for either active minutes or steps.

It can motivate kids to reach health goals and exercise more

The tracker also highlights motivating features like hourly reminders to move and daily activity goals in a swimproof design. Fitbit claims that its battery can last eight days of straight use. 

In terms of privacy, parents can set up a family account to access privacy controls and protections. This is highly recommended especially if their child is under 12 years old. 

Through a Fitbit Family account in-app, parents are able to access Parent View where they can easily see their kid’s activity, manage what is shown on their kid’s app experience, and approve their kid’s friend requests.
